SARAH MIFSUD

PhysicalMind InstituteTM Certified Pilates Instructor

Certified in Mat and Equipment Training through PhysicalMind InstituteTM

Sarah came to Pilates through a developed love of dance and began her training while completing her Master of Education degree in Dance Education from the University of Houston. She earned her certification in Pilates exercise through PhysicalMind Institute™ in both Mat and Equipment training in 2001. She has offered private and group Pilates instruction for over 20 years in the Houston area.

As a teacher, Sarah strives to uncover and reinforce the potential for physical learning in each individual person. “Body mechanics and movement are so interesting to me…it is gratifying to share my interest and experience and to see changes occur in both the perception and strength of an individual’s body.” Sarah has also worked on a part-time basis at the Houston Ballet Academy and at UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. These diverse environments, she feels, broadly reflect the adaptability and benefits of Pilates movement.

In addition to her Master of Education degree, Sarah holds a B. S. in Secondary Education from the University of Texas, English and History teaching subjects.
